People

The diversity of our people, their varied skills, knowledge and cultures, is one of the Syracuse area's greatest assets.

Syracuse is home to people from around the world. Larger populations include former citizens of Ireland, Italy and Poland, and more recently immigrants from Viet Nam, former Soviet countries, African countries and many Hispanic countries. From the establishment of places of worship, to cultural organizations and annual festivals, much of the strength of this region is based on its diversity.
